Our roadsides are managed by one of two agencies: VicRoads and Yarra Ranges Shire Council. Landcare can make the control of weeds easier for everyone if you can be our eyes out there.
When we get information from local people, it’s usually because they’re concerned about weeds, and we’re the same. More information helps us build a picture of the weed situation, and helps make weed control more efficient.
There’s no weed too small or too big. In fact, spotting new and emerging weeds is vital to the protection of bushland and farmland. If you’re not sure something is a weed, it’s better to report it - and we can find out and let you know.
To report a weed
We will pass the details of the location, but not your personal information, to the relevant authority. You can remain anonymous if you wish.
Providing enough detail about the location makes it easier at our end, so don’t be afraid to include more rather than less.
